Jointly organized by the Hungarian Geotechnical Association, the Geotechnical Section of the Hungarian Chamber of Engineers and the Department of Technical Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences
On February 10, 2023, starting at 2 p.m., it will be organized by
XXVIII. Károly Széchy Memorial Meeting in the Great Hall of the MTA’s Széchényi Square headquarters.
In accordance with tradition, the program includes two main lectures and an introductory presentation by a young colleague, as well as the presentation of the Károly Széchy memorial plaque and award.

Visiting the event is only possible after prior registration and payment of the participation fee. The participation fee is HUF 18,000 + VAT (gross: HUF 22,860), for Hungarian Geotechnical Association members HUF 16,000 + VAT (gross: HUF 20,320). The event is free for our members over 65 and students under 25.

On February 10, 2023, starting at 6 p.m., we will organize the
XXXI Geotechnician Dinner,
the venue of which is the MTA Academic Club (1051 Budapest, Széchényi István tér 9.).
Visiting this event is only possible with prior registration and payment of the participation fee. The participation fee for the dinner event is HUF 22,000 + VAT (gross: HUF 27,940).
The dinner gives all participants the opportunity for an informal professional discussion and a friendly meeting, in the framework of which we consider it important to preserve the traditional atmosphere of the meal.
For the successful organization of our events, we ask for the financial support of our Members and the Professional Companies that are close to the geotechnics profession or that deal with it, without which the organization would not be possible. Businesses that make offers above HUF 100 or 200,000 can also place a one- or two-page advertisement about their business in the Széchy conference publication, and we allow 1 or 2 people to participate in the presentation session.
